Each time I read the words 'Be gracious to me and grant me your blessings,' I imagine myself preparing food in Annapurna’s blessed company. I see now that it is so much more sweeter to repeat that line by singing it aloud instead. What a sweet chant this is!

As I read in verse 5 of the hymn to the goddess Annapurna, “You sever the thread that binds us to the play of earthly existence.,” I saw and felt the moment in which this “severing” had happened to me.
