The original strips of lights that run down the cover don't flash anymore. I don;t know what happened to the program but it stopped working, I am trying to sell this ASUS G71 gx 104 notebook computer. If the lights are working it will make it an easy sell. But,i don;t know what program controlled those lights.
They were adjustable as to the flashing adn hue, I thought it was direct console 2.0. But I don;t really know. Can anyone help me???

I got my DC working fine on my G50VT-X5, I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64bit. I dl'ed all the latest ATK drivers from Asus' site and I found a Direct Console 2.0.9 version made for Windows 7 32/64bit installer. It's on Asus' driver page, just do a search for 'direct console' and you'll find it. I also installed: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Since I kept getting this Visual C++ error message.
