Cbrom Exe Bios
Try this one: all i did was swap the raid rom for the 8.8.0.1009 version exelent! It worked just fine (i was able to use qflash, something i couldnt do even with the default 7b:p would it be too much to ask you to add this: to the bios you just moded for me?:p i tried again, but i just end up with an invalid biod file when i add stuff (i found some guides that said to first remove the rom you wanted to replace, using the release option, and others tu just replace, both methods end up bad for me:( ) pd: one of the guides said to always use the same driver version as the raid bios. Is that true? I had the raid bios 8.0.0.something for a LONG time, with the 8.8.0.1009 drivers, and now i have the 8.9.0.1023. Does that mean that there is a raid bios with that version number available? I can try, but not sure it will work.
The bin files are slightly different sizes and not sure if it may need customizing by GB. Here you go, hope it works works just fine!!
Jul 18, 2018 - Preliminary Notes: • Before you start with the BIOS modding procedure, it is strongle recommended to read carefully the separately published. If your BIOS is in an.EXE format. You'll need to first extract it with an unzipping program like 7-Zip. Then look for a file that ends in.BIN,.ROM, or possibly something else like a number. LGA 775 BIOSes are usually around 1024 KB in size, so look for a file about that size.
Could you pm me the procedure you follow to do this things? And a download location for the cbrom.exe you are using?
(maybe mine is broken somehow?) also, do you use a 32 bit windows? Maybe using windows xp in a virtual machine is what is causing my problems? I dont want to be a pushover, but: there it says that the bios that can be downloaded there, has the 8.9.0.1023 raid bios, if you can put it into the last bios you moded for me, i will gladly test it xD •. Just put the X58 extreme f8f bios on my computer and all seemed ok at first but within a half an hour lota of problems. Ran memtest 86+ and because I have 3 computers on a kvm switch went to another computer. Last time I checked it was on test 7 no errors.
Svedenie i mastering torrent online. Went away again then the computer shut off by itself. So restarted and went into OS (win 7 RC x64) and after it booted I clicked the firefox icon the computer froze then shut off. Restarted and went into bios to change a few settings, froze in bios, then shut off:sniper. Tried numeros things still freezing and shutoff.
Flashed back to F7 havnt had a problem since. Definatly a problem with that bios (at least for me). Interesting to see if any one else has had problems as well. Yeah, i was about to do a 2nd edit, this time saying i had googled arround a little, and there was no known tool for extracting from the.bio file in the package:( edit: i found a newer (1.7.04) jmicron rom when searching (i didnt want to give up, but i have now) for the latest raid bios, or a way to extract it from the intel bios, and, using cbrom195 i was able to mod the bios correctly XD edit2: it worked, but i had to revert to the one you made with 1.7.00 cause there were roms for 3 diferent controllers (mine being 2363, or so i think), with the 'correct' one, in ahci mode, i had no DVDRW.
With the other 2, i had, in one, no hdd, and in the other, nothing at all:P •.
I have the eVGA Nf41 SLi Motherboard. EVGA has a large Logo on the startup of the machine. It is very annoying as the regular post screen will display usefull information.
EVGA has left no way for the user to turn off thier post screen except editing the BIOS file and completly removing the images from the BIOS and then reflashing. I would like to modify a BIOS in such a way that there is an option to turn on or off the eVGA Post Screen. I remember when I was playing around with Abit Nf7-S modded BIOS that sometimes the author would move around options or add some options, ect. How would I go about adding an option to remove the eVGA post screen from within the BIOS? Also here are the instructions to delete the Poast Screen from the BIOS entirly.
Originally posted by TEtherton at this location: Steps: Download the latest bios from evga.com (I performed this on the NF41 SLI myself): Direct links to E42 which is currently the latest as of 11/10/05 NF41 - ftp://evga.com/NF41_E42.bin NF43 - ftp://evga.com/NF43_E42.bin Next, download the utility you will use to alter the above BIOS.bin file (CBROM 2.07) @ biosmods.com - Extract cbrom207.zip into some directory (C: cbrom for this example). Copy your bios file into the C: cbrom directory as well.
