Front center speaker works on mine.but I use KX drivers.what you are talking about is Upmixing. The game that work are ones that are in 5.1 surround like UT2004.If you have an option to up mix your stereo then this will work.set your drivers to 5.1 and also set your windows mixers to 5.1.BTW what do you mean screwed the channels?

On a SB live 5.1 you have to switch around the front and rear cables if you use KX as this provides better sound.if that what your talking about the frnt's and rear channels being switched thats normal and you have to move the wires.My center works all the time so give me some more info and maybe I can help. On some card when you use KX drivers you have to switch the Cables at the back of the computer.SO if you loaded in KX drivers and you front and rear channels were suddenly switched.thats what it's supposed to do!!, you have to switch the cables to fix it. Has to do with KX driver changing codec chips.it uses the best sounding chip for your front channels.But if your using Creative drivers as was said you need to trun on upmix if you want all your channels to be used all the time.other then that your ususally only going to get stereo, unles your playing a surround saound game, or movie. UPMIX IS ALREADY ON!!! And as you guys are saying, the KX is for music. LETS USE THE POST FOR ANOTHER DOUBT: the Nvidia NF2 ULTRA SOUNDSTORM onboard i have the same problem with it and my Inspire 6.1, it scrambles ALL the channels, anyone else had the same problem? Since the soundstorm is 6.1 if i can make it work right i'm gonna move to it and use my live for TeamSpeak and other things.

I've read the sound processor from Soundstorm is a Realtek and its as good as an audigy card, is that true? THANKS FOR ALL SO FAR.
